Black ones.
Humor aside... Cameras are important but significantly more important is the skill and technique behind the cameras. A camera won’t be responsible for a great film to any degree more than a paintbrush could be responsible for a great painting.
That said, we use the newest technology in 4K cameras, 35mm optics, stabilizers, slides, stands, tripods, microphones, etc.. Our Sony mirrorless cameras give us the capability to shoot 2K to 4K video (with a myriad of professional photography lenses) and these are the same cameras favored overwhelmingly by many of today's world-renowned wedding cinematographers.
When you choose LifeWorks, you will see me on your wedding day. I won’t double-book your date and there’s no fine print in the contract stating that “Ed from Super-8 Video” can shoot in my absence. I take to heart the incredible trust couples place in me on one of the most important days of their life, and in return I have a feeling of commitment that exceeds anything written in a contract.
I like to wear a yellow raincoat and hat similar to the Gorton’s Fisherman, but for weddings my dress-code is all-black professional attire. ☺
With the Essential package, approximately 45 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. With the Essential+ and Epic, 90 minutes prior to the time the bride plans to step into her dress.
As long as they don’t smell bad we will get along great! But seriously, whatever is important to you is also important to me – this means I'm committed to doing my part to help ensure your photographer succeeds. It’s not uncommon to see us helping each other, moving furniture, discussing the schedule and shot ideas.
Since the word ‘interview’ implies a question/answer session, the answer is no. However, 'Guest Messages' provide your guests an opportunity to contribute their own comments/congratulations (voluntarily) without being prompted with questions. Simply put, the approach is to ‘keep it real.’ Throughout the years I've captured some incredible sentiment and excitement from family and friends that would not have been shared if I hadn’t provided the opportunity to contribute.
I ask you for your input on this topic on the wedding info form to give you a choice about how it can be edited or not edited. Absent your input I use ‘common sense without heavy censorship.’
Meal requirements are not in the contract. But I have to warn you, I work very hard and a few hours after the emergency bologna sandwich wears off, I start dreaming about food.
Yes. The wedding is filmed using multiple camera angles (and select audio sources), video from the different cameras must be pieced together and synchronized into a basic edit (Raw Video). You'll see and hear your wedding day as it was filmed in real-time including full ceremony, complete readings, complete homilies, vows, complete toasts, special dances, along with plenty of dance coverage from your reception.
With regard to the Raw Edits, the music that was chosen by you to be performed/played for your ceremony and reception will be in your video. So in essence, you will have already chosen the music.
With regard to the films (cinematic version), music selection is at the discretion of the filmmaker for creative reasons and because most copyright holders of popular music don't make their music available to be licensed for use online.
One million $ (includes Ed Sheeran performing live for your last dance) or choose the economy rate of $200/hr.
25% / Credit cards excepted.
There aren't many wedding professionals that will accept final payments via credit card because the transaction fees make it so cost prohibitive. Fortunately for you, I'm not one of them. You get the points!
I reserve the right to relocate LifeWorks to one of the Caribbean islands if I hit the jackpot, but I promise I will not shirk on my commitment to film your wedding!
